Music is my Life, music is my Jam, music is my Vibe.
I’ve always had a passion for music, especially songwriting which evolved from my poetry. I started professionally writing lyrics 9 years ago, and they resound in my head daily. Putting melodies to those words started as a challenge, until a conversation I had at the Spot Studios- with music producers Glenn Sawyer and Rich Veltrop- where I found my vision. I was introduced to recording artist Mawule, who is the voice behind my debut single, “What Love Doesn’t Look Like.”
I’ve had the pleasure of working with other producers as well:
I created my first instrumental, “Elation,” with Music Composer & Producer Jarrod Headly. Jarrod has composed and engineered for television, on networks such as, ESPN, CBS, CBS sports, FOX, History Channel, and Discovery channel. He’s also worked on programs such as, ESPN Monday Night Football, NCAA, and MTV’s Catfish.
I was also given the opportunity to collaborate with New York music producer Tony Mirabella from the Practice Worldwide on my songs “Gravity,” “Ghosting,” and “Toxic,” with more songs on the way.
In 2024, I completed The Faith Project- my exploration into Afro-Gospel- with Nigerian producer Egar Boi. Egar Boi’s production career has witnessed an insurmountable amount of growth over a short span and he is someone to follow closely. His work speaks for itself.
At 63, I have no intentions of slowing down anytime soon. My first EP, “Exposed,” will be released February of 2025. More than anything, I want my career to be an inspiration that you’re never too old to follow your dreams. Age is just a number.
